Our cruise ship (Dawn Princess) arrived an hour earlier than planned in the art deco town of Napier and we were lucky enough to have some spare time for a wander around the main shopping district before meeting up with our Black Rose Limousine driver and tour guide, Glenn. We didn't have the worry about deciding on which tour company to use as we had researched and booked on-line before leaving Australia which took the decision making pressure off during the holiday. We had decided on the smaller 14 seat mini bus for our 4 hour tour which was easy to spot amongst the other tour vehicles.
It was a style of touring we hadn't done before and we felt extra special as we ventured around Napier, Havelock North, Te Mata Peak, beautiful valleys and around the different tourist spots of the area in limousine style. A couple of stops at selected wineries and an ice cream shop were part of the tour and added interest and variety to the overall tour.
Glenn was very down to earth and approachable and prooved to be an exceptional guide. The comfort along with the relaxed atmosphere and the easy interaction with our tour guide made it easy to chat and fit in with the other travellers doing the tour with us.
Glenn dropped us off on the wharf near the ship so there was no worry about getting transport back from the town in time for embarkation. Overall we felt that Glenn and Black Rose Limousines provided an excellent trustworthy service and would recommend them to other travellers, especially if you want to do it in style!.

Just a congratulatory note on how Glenn made our day all that more special. We arrived on P&O cruise ship Pacific Jewel about a week ago and booked a tour with Glenn in the limo bus. Well what a day - me, the wife ,mother-in-law and our two kids had a wonderful time. Glenn’s humour made for a laughter packed day which we will remember for quite some time. Just wanted to say thanks from Kevin and Sue in Alberta, Canada. We got off of a Holland America cruise ship and discovered Black Rose Limousines at the Visitors Center. We, as well as others from our ship, were able to enjoy a tour in comfort. The tour was very enjoyable, seeing a couple of local wineries, some local attractions and a strawberry farm. We also found the price to be much more affordable than the cruise line offered, and the smaller group made the tour more enjoyable. Thanks again from Canada.

I just want to say a huge bug THANK YOU! For everything you and your fab team did for us over the Mission weekend. We so appreciated your ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude and your patience. Your drivers were so professional and fantastic to work with and our clients loved them. Not to mention the quality of your vehicles- they absolutely loved the limo!
